Yoga for all, All for Yoga

Yoga is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. It also helps to promote a balanced development of physical, mental and spiritual power of an individual. International Yoga Day which was intiated, pioneered and advocated by Honourable Prime Minister of India Sr. Narendra Modi and is celebrated on 21st June every year.

 

BAPS SVM RAYSAN too celebrated Yoga day in an unique way where the students had participated enthusiastically. A special assembly was organized to commemorate the occasion. The session started with the information shared by one of the student Bhatt Shlok of Grade IX. He explained the effectiveness of yoga in increasing self awareness and concentration. The Yoga session began with meditation and Surya Namaskar  under the guidance of physical teachers. The students had performed various asanas like Vrikshasana, Tadasana, Sarvangasana, Chakrasana, Ardchakrasana, Bhadrasana etc. Proper scientific instructions were given for all the asanas and all participants performed it as per the instruction.

 

The celebration conveyed the message of benefits of yoga for all to overcome stress, stiffness, anxiety, improve concentration and combat obesity.
